Brent,

When the changes were made I lost the gold cup from mypost display. It still has not returned. Could you get it back for me? Thanks

Tom

Tom, there are a lot of members missing gold cups and silver stars like me. I'm sure that will be fixed within a month or two when this years collection is finished.

So far today both of my computers are working fine. A little slower than at first but about the same as they were with the old server. Over in the Test Section Brent posted that he had installed Zend accelerator and had removed it last night and to watch and see if it makes any difference. I know that one day isn't proof, but both of my computers are working ok today with no hang ups, blank pages, or other weird things. If they continue to work this well tomorrow then I think Brent may have found what was causing the weird stuff that was happening to some of us.

Brent many thanks to you and CW for keeping this site up and functioning. And especially for dealing with MS regarding email problems we MSN users have had.

Hey, is the mail coming through yet? I have not checked the logs.

G.R. 01-29-2008 06:19 PM

Brent yes it is coming thru on both CC and CHR. I have MSN through Qwest premimum and they were passing the buck saying it's Qwest, its MS--finaly MS figured out it was their spam filters blocking both sites email.
It's been working fine since yesterday morning.

Excellent news!

When traveling from forum to forum, I keep getting this error message:

CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.

Brent, Ron, & Jamo,

I have had no problem since the other day when Brent did that work until now. I have been on the site and posting several times today but when I came home and started to come here this time I couldn't got on at all. I could go to any other site with no problem. So I went off line, cleaned everything, did all I can think of and after several tries I managed to get onto the site. It just acted like it was before. The first green bars would load and then it would just sit. When I came to this Forum to post this I thought it wasn't going to as it was very slow and acted as if it was going to just stop at the 3 bars.

Ron... I am seeing network latency (delays) varying up and down over the past few hours.....
...with sometimes the pages not loading for a long time.

Let's see how it goes...

Ron61 01-31-2008 01:33 PM

Ron,

Ok, thanks. I started to edit this post and it just stopped dead and I had to go back to my home page. I sent you a regular e-mail from there describing what I had ran into and then I saw the notification that you had answered this post so I decided to try getting back on via my favorite link like I always do and it came right in. Now if this will just post.

Ron

I had a big problem around 2 PM. Molassess at 100 below was faster than the CC site.

But its all better now.

Ron61 01-31-2008 01:39 PM

OK, Warren. I assume that you are talking 2 PM your time which would be about the time I ran into my problem as I looked at the time here and it was 11:04. I also looked at the load when I did get back on and it was no where nearly as much as it was earlier when things were going well. So that would seem to more or less rule out a load problem.

Edit, I hope: I was just over in the Lounge and posting to a thread and when I hit the sibmit button it just set. Then I got a Page Not Available error. I hit the back button and went back to my post and tried Submit again and it went right in. Now if this Edit will work.

wtm442 01-31-2008 04:17 PM

My problem was just a super slow site. Next time I got on, no problem.

Ron (Computerworks) or Brent

I just noticed the

Blogs 1

listed under Ron61's info. Just for grins, I clicked on it and got the following Vbulletin message:

a461733 does not have a blog yet.

Ron61 01-31-2008 04:29 PM

Warren,

Over in the Test Forum where I was trying some stuff Jon reported at about the same time that he was having the same problems I was. He had to reboot his computer to get unhooked from a post or something and it was doing the same as it was the other day. Mine hasn't hung up for a while but several times it has started to put in a post and then stopped for a second almost as if it was doing a refresh and a second page popped up and the post was in.

I have seen the same. Intermittent unbelievable sluggishness that can't be solved by reconnecting to the Net or rebooting the machine. I just gave up and went to SCOF.

Brent Mills 01-31-2008 09:31 PM

I'm trying guys....Every night after work I am working to find a solution. hang in there. I'll nail it eventually. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Madmiles442 01-31-2008 10:29 PM

Brother Brent,
Nothing going on here is an inconvenience.
Everything we enjoy here is an abundance.
Thank you for all the thankless work you and your team do and all the "spare" time you invest in this little hobby of ours. There are many here who realize that for each hour you spend on us Cobra Crazies, it's another hour we've taken away between you and your family.
For that, we are grateful.

Ron61 02-01-2008 02:44 AM

:)

Brent,

Miles said it for all of us. We are fortunate to have this site at all. Don't take the trouble reports as complaints. We are just trying to give you an idea of what is going on, but it seems that different people are having different problems and some either don't have any or don't bother to report them.

Edit: Warren, Brent has 2 Blogs that he shows and you get the same messsage if you click on the number in one of his posts. Lets get the real problems solved before we worry about the extras. And all mine is was a test that I put in to see if I could. I will see if I can remove it.

Ron :)
