Changed my banner ad on our server and now it is not showing on yours?

Brent Mills 02-01-2008 08:19 PM

I see them. Are you not?

Gonna jump over the IE and see...

Just to confirm Firefox is filtering out the ad and IE is not. It is also occurring for a couple other advertisers.

For kicks I added the same file with another name. Can you plugin this file for one of our ads? vintagemotorsports.gif (same path)

Cashburn 02-01-2008 08:40 PM

FE Specialties is another that gets blocked? Odd. Slither too.

Updated one of them.

Brent Mills 02-01-2008 08:46 PM

I changed FE's image by saving it CC and changing the name. Thanks for the heads up.

Does yours show for you now? If not, change the path, because you have advertising in there which may get blocked too.

Cashburn 02-01-2008 09:10 PM

Changed path to Index of /clubcobra

filenames are now

vintagemotorsports.gif
vintagemotorsports2.gif

The FE ad shows now. Slither is still a no show.

All updated, Jay.

Ok, it is that time of day again. I have been on and off the site all morning and it was working pretty well. Then I started to Submit a post and it was slow and acted as if it went in as the page flashed off, but then it came back on with my post waiting to be submitted. I tried it again and it went in very slow, and with a couple of pauses as if it was going to stop. I went back to my home page to answer some e-mails and then to a couple of other sites and posted, and then I couldn't get back on here at all. I tried everything. Cleaned all the files and even shut the computer off for a few minutes. Still couldn't get on so I went back to one of the other sites and made a couple of posts and came back and it came in this time. Now if I can just get this post to go in..

Edit: Ok the post went in, but the green bars started and got about half way across and stopped, the page flickered and they started again, and the same thing happened. The third time the post went in.

I was tinkering at the time which caused the errors. Thanks for posting though in case I was not aware.

When I tried to access this Forum to read the thread the first time at about 9:04 our time I got a Service Not available Error. I went back to my home page logged on again and this time I got in ok.

Ron

Brent Mills 02-04-2008 10:09 AM

The service not available was because I was restarting the service.

This function is not working when I click on it???

Ron61 02-04-2008 10:31 AM

Rick,

It works ok for me. Try going into your CP and see if you can unsubscribe from there. I did both and they both work ok.

During one of the sluggish times, I errored out with a "Error 500 Internal Server Error"
And, not that it's important, I've lost my star and trophy.
