Yesterday there were some strange things happening again at about the same time frame as before. Submit a post and it would start, then stop and flash the page as if it had refreshed the page and start the submit all over. Then once I got locked onto a page and had to drop off line to get out. Seethe following posts for another who had the same problems.

Edit to add: I can't view the last post on the thread Pick Your Side. I have tried everything and the last post in the thread that I can get to show on my screen is the one that Jdog put in yesterday.

Ron/Brent:

On an intermittent basis with no obvious pattern on the CC site and other web sites, with the Block Pop-Up Windows option turned on , using Apple Safari , appears to influence the access and performance. Will shut off, all OK. At other times will have the option turned on for the same web site, and no problems.

In my case, appears the Apple Safari software creates the situation. Have you tried turning off temporarily when using the CC site any options & preferences that could possibly contribute to your situation. Now, when having access problems on any web site, my first choice is to turn the Block Pop-Up Windows option off, high success rate.

I do not use Firefox on a regular basis as the primary, do not know whether the pattern mentioned would be duplicated. Apple software 10.4 version is current. When I upgrade to OS X 10.5 Leopard, will see if the same situation exists.

Don & All,

I have tried that and have mine turned off now. And now there are two threads that I can't read the last posts in. I posted in the one in the Lounge about what people say and Tru had posted just before me. I could not see his post, but when I clicked the reply button I got the post screen and below it I could see Tru's posts. I posted and it showed mine as going in and me as being the last poster on the thread, but I still can't see Tru's posts or mine. Same thing on the Pick Your Side thread in this forum. I can't see any posts after Jdog's yesterday. I have completely cleaned out my computers, and don't have any problems at any other sites at all. This is something that I have never had happen before with all the weird stuff that has gone on.

Brent, Ron, Jamo,

Ok now this is something new. It just started this morning. In the Pick your side thread the only way I can read the last post after Jdog's yesterday is to click the reply button and open a box to reply in. Then I can see John's post if I scroll down. I had the same thing happen over in the lounge and after I posted I couldn't even see my post. But Tru posted again in that thread and now it is opening all the way for me.

In the Pentroof valve cover thread, it was doing strange things last night when I tried to make a reply. And my reply would not show up. Even right now, it shows that member "Jeepsnake" has made a post in it, but yet it still only shows post #30 as the last post when I view it (same as last night).

The 'last page/ last post' issue is new and we see it.
The Pick a Side thread had the problem...and now it is normal again.

Minor weirdness.

Brent has the info.

Thanks

Does it still happen? Reset some stuff on the server, including some caching stuff.....

computerworks 02-08-2008 02:09 PM

I just tried to post to that thread a message on the beauty of an open PCV system and it vanished off in to never-never land.:(

Thanks...we are aware of that...different issue.

Brent Mills 02-08-2008 07:22 PM

Shouldn't see the PHP access violation thing any longer. Let me know if that's not the case.

Working on the other problem...Strange though.

Brent Mills 02-08-2008 07:42 PM

I *think* I fixed it. We'll see.

I have a minor problem in the Gallery with my Albums. I have posted the explanation in the post about pictures. I have tried finding something that would tell me what I did wrong but haven't seen any posts on it anywhere. Also put a post in the Lounge in case anyone else had did this.

Ron ;)

On the local club drop down selection (yellow boxes at very top) that caused many of the problems that Ron61 reported, I noticed you cannot scroll down to select any club that is off the one screen. The drop down box is longer than the screen height.

Warren,

I don't ever go to that page but I just tried it and I don't have to scroll down. Maybe try setting your resolution a little higher.

Ron
