Pusher fans

Does anyone use the pusher fans exclusively? Do they work by themselves or do they require a puller fan on the inside to provide sufficient cooling?

The appearance is kind of cool and original, but I could care less if it doesn't cool properly and I've hear different opinions on this subject. I would like to hear it from somebody with experience. Oh yeah, I'm running a 351W/393 stroker small block if that makes any difference.
