Dual Quads (Holleys) on a 302?
I know that a dual quad intake is available for running Holleys on small blocks (289s/302s).
Anybody running one?
I've searched the forums and found quite a few FE owners and even some 351 owners running dual Holleys, but not too many 289/302 powered machines running them.
And I don't want to use the Edelbrock intake and carb setup.
Any advice as to whether it's worth it? I know a single four barrel is probably an all-around better choice, but dual Holley 390s sitting on my 345-horse crate 302 would sure look pretty. (I'm currently running a Performer RPM intake with a 650 DP Holley.)
Can a 2 x 4 setup be pieced together, or would I be better off to bite the bullet and get a compete setup from a vendor such as Carls. (I was thinking that if I went ahead with the project, I could purchase parts as funds allow...)
Whaddya think?
