I was at a dinner with a bunch of work colleagues years ago. We were discussing my home workshop and the amount of time I spend messing round in it building cars and stuff.

One of the guys wife turns to me and said "If you were my husband I'd blow up that shed of yours"

To which I replied "If you were my wife I'd be in it when it went up"

I think it's W.C Fields I should thank for the inspiration for that comeback.
