Default The big 10k

Just turned 10,000 miles on ole CSX4241 this past weekend. I bought the car with 3610 on the clock from the second owner. I've put almost double the miles on the car than both previous owners combined.

Looking forward to many more!!!

Congrats! I, too, have doubled the mileage from my previous owner in less than half the time.

Hi Sal,

Congratulations......

I just turned 10,000 happy miles on CSX4264 last weekend, started with 910 when I bought it.

The SPF GT40 will be joining the Shelby in the garage today.

Pics posted over the weekend.

I'm only about half way there (on my new motor)! 10K is a nice milestone and it's good to see to the cars being DRIVEN!

This past weekend I noticed the speedo on my friends Mid States replica he has owned for years. It's been to the mainland a couple of times and he's done some cross country trips in it as well. 121,000, wow! It's his ONLY car in Hawaii, his other car is a CSX8000 he keeps in Calif. Rumor has it Hal Copple has 100K on his SPF now. I tell ya, 10K is a decent number, 100K is to 'hard core' for me.

I am close to 19k now, but haven't been driving it nearly enough. It just
keeps getting better - sometimes it seems like we shouldn't be allowed to
have so much fun, but I'll take it.

P Surge,

The 10K is great news. These cars need to be driven to enjoy them - hmmm... there may be something there I can use at home!

I have never noticed your home town before. We usually spend a couple of weeks during Speed Weeks in Flagler Beach - 18 out of the past 20 years. We will have to hook up on our next visit.

Jody

What is your longest trip? Did your wife go with you? Good job. I put 3500 on my Butler and 5200 on the AutoKraft they both had tops with AC having sidecurtins

Longest trip? Probably about 300 miles. The wife usually goes with me. She loves the car.

Hey Sal,
That's cool news! Not many miles put on today, at least not here in Jacksonville. It poured all day had to drain the pool twice to keep it from overflowing. BTW, do you know how to get the body down on my chassis correctly?

Yeah, she's real good. She'll go along with pretty much anything I want to do, just because it means spending time together. But she really does enjoy the Cobra. She doesn't mind the sidepipes, loud noise, open top, no radio, etc. She doesn't even mind getting caught driving in rain.
