1) flushing the clutch is a pain because it doesn't take long ot empty the reservoir, I found a small oil squirt bottle works well. chances are you still have air.
2) check the ground strap ( I had the same problem but I can't remember exactly how I fixed it)
3) Is this the same carb as the previous engine? it might need an additional return spring.
