The Cobra LOOKS much cleaner without all the raised attachment tabs. The Cobra is also a LOT easier to clean and polish without the tabs. All it takes is one PAINFUL bending of the fingernail back as you wash/polish the Cobra, and you will get the point.
My Cobra has the tabs; I infrequently use the top or tonneau cover, and I could easily have lived without the tabs.
The top is NOT watertight...there is still water that gets inside the car while driving in a rainstorm. I have driven a few times in the rain without the top, and did get wet. NOT soaking wet, but wet just the same.
I would imagine you could do best by filling in the holes and have the Cobra painted without them. You can always go back later, after the Cobra is painted, drill the holes and install the tabs. IF you decide you want the tabs.

We don't want a bigger government; We want a government that does a few BIG things, and does them right.
If you think that you can cut it, if you think you got the time, they'll only give you one chance, better get it right first time. 'Cause in this game you're playin, if you lose you got to pay. And if you make just ONE wrong move, you'll get BLOWN AWAY!
