Hey Bill, that IS pretty cool the CSX cars are more like the originals, which could also carry a spare.

BUT, what is the trunk like with the 42 gallon optional fuel tank? Can that one carry a spare as well?

If you run the numbers you can find a tire of the correct stature to fit in an emergency. A 295/50/15 is +/- 26.61" tall. A 225/70/14 is 26.4" tall but substantially narrower (obviously). You want a tire to match the rear height (ESP if a posi/locker diff) and just live with it on the front....it is an emergency tire! I like to drive the boonies in the Cobra as well as longer trips so a spare tire is a necessity. I am AAA, but average wait time here is over an hour and a half. I do not use Fix-A-Flat at all. Just pray that the nearest tire store has the size in stock if I need it (cause you shouldn't repair speed rated tires either)!!

Good question Ernie.

Not sure, as I'd have to ask the other CSX guys who run with the comp tank. Can you imagine the fill up these days, not to mention racing fuel? After topping off at around $150 or so, I'd expect a nice wax job to go with that.

Same for me except no jack. I carry the stuff in the spare tire well.
