				 Rubber side pipe mount?
Does anyone offer a purpose built rubber mount that fits between the side pipe mounting pad and the frame? A round disc type motor mount 1/2" to 3/4" thick and a stud on each side would work great.

There is a local rubber company here in town that carries them. I don't recall the price, but it wasn't outrageous. |

 Undy,
I went to my local truck spring rebuild shop & looked thru their inventory of large rear spring rubber bushings untill I found 1 the O.D. & I.D. I wanted.
Took it home & sliced off 3/4" spacers from it. They have worked great for 3 years--15000 miles.
You don't need special silicone etc. material, they don't get hot enough to require it.

Mr Google is my friend...http://www.mfgsupply.com/m/c/MM-101C.html?id=8v7665if in my case..
http://www.mfgsupply.com/SnowMounts....on_id=8v7665if for others with different spacing requirements.

A bolt through a rubber bushing, end link or piece of tire still has a metal to metal link, hence the through bolt. I wanted 100% isolation as these low cost units have.. I'll buy 4 and squirrel them away for future isolator failures. Last edited by undy; 04-11-2008 at 03:32 AM..

The small truck mounted generators and refrig units have vibration isolator mounts. Unconnected threaded studs sticking out of rubber cylinder. Try a Kubota deisel dealer. |
