Does this conversation come every Spring or is it my imagination?
I've always made a few dollars on the sale but the important thing is that I had a blast driving the car and really didn't care if or when it sold.

Me naked is your imagination.
This conversation is real and - yes - it comes up every spring, usually right before Knotts.

Fitz........
Best comment of the thread!!!! LOL!
Owning one of these cars and enjoying it is all there is. Buy it (for what you can afford to pay), Drive the pants off it, Sell it for whatever and move on........ It's not worth the debate of whether you made money or not. Life's too short for sweating the small stuff.
Of course, it's a lot shorter for some of us and that's why we think the way we do.

I am confused (not unusual) a glut of cobras on the market? I remember reading years ago that there were over 35K replicas in existance, today I would guess 40K. Between here and cobra country they may be 50 cars. I guess I do not see the glut. There are a nitch car, you only have to find one buyer not sell to everyone. Now if I had 30K into a car and was trying to sell and someone offered 26k, I would probably sell, what the heck is $4K if it gets you out of a jamb.

The game of finding a loop hole on taxes is just about gone. I know when I walk into the courthouse and see Class c felony and not to exceed 10years in jail it spooks me. If they go after all our famous movie stars, ceo's they will go after you.

Might be some truth in that gem. I liken it to Vegas. Every once in awhile someone DOES make some money, even 'hit's the jackpot'. These reported good fortunes keep the rest of us 'hopeful'. With some being SO hopeful the car becomes an 'investment'.

Cripes...this thread is lost.
Put it back on track ASAP or it'll fade away.
Reminder: " What's the best way to sell a Cobra now?"
thanks

Boat Market is sooooffffttt. Worst then homes. I have a 42 Carver and no one has money to play right now. I have never made money on boating; Owned Chris Crafts, 27 & 30 Sea Rays, Century, Glastron. Not a good time to sell.
Cobras are for fun. If you make money great! Enjoy while you have it or them...
Is it me or do I see more people looking at these cars in discust.
"Dam loud Cars"
"What is wrong with that man"
"Doesn't that man know gas is too high for such things"
"That man probably is going to vote for McCain!"
