Definition of "errands" for restricted insurance policy?
I've read through many of the threads regarding insurance and wondering if anyone has had to challenge the definition of "errands" for a policy that restricts usage. I've asked several agents how the insurance companies interpret "errands" and have not received a consistent / definitive answer.
I currently have an unrestricted policy but the cost is way too high and I'd like to switch to a lower cost policy that more accurately reflects how I use the car. However, I am concerned about signing something that says I will never take the car on an errand.
Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.
