Seen my first $5.00 a gallon for diesel this morning.

SPF2245 05-23-2008 03:50 AM

Well, in the great state of Indiana...I just put 32 gallons of diesel in at $4.89 per gallon. After $156 in gas to fill up the truck, I was debating driving the cobra...atleast gas would be cheaper...wonder if I could tow a 22ft boat? I'm sure getting up a slick boat ramp would be cheap fun.

rbray 05-23-2008 04:35 AM

I don't even look at the price.

Hey, I wonder if our friends in Iraq could help us out.

Probably not. Why should they give up their budget surplus when they can spend the money that we are borrowing to give to them?

In the long run it is in there best interest to go along with OPEC and continue to fix prices while our brave young people are giving their lives to defended them.
They have been given the gift of freedom and now it is up to them to decide if they want to keep it and what price they are willing to pay.

Sorry for the rant. I could be wrong about all of this, but I’m really steamed.

Circa $10 for a UK-size gallon, thank you.

That's why I drive a 45+mpg car and the 427 has been sold. At 8-10mpg and those prices - around $370 to fill the tank!! I don't think so. As the Bard once said - you ain't seen nothin yet.

Yep, the Price of Dubai has made statements in the past that he knows their oil supply is limited, so he's building Dubai into a mega tourist country so they have revenue after the oil dries up.
