Default Last days

Hi all,

I just found this photo of a weekend car wash day at home.

It was nothing to wash the Cobra and two or three other cars.

I realised that this day, was the last time I washed the Cobra and can remember it was also the last time that I drove the Cobra.

It was a strange feeling looking at the photo realising that the Cobra has gone...

I have often wondered if I should have kept it, but space was a minimum and I realised I would not drive it asuch with a GT40 in the garage.

Whilst I now have the GT40, I feel that the Cobra was a big part of my life.

Having built it over two years from scratch I was attached to it..

I purchased the body and stored it at McDonald Brothers racing and started the build about 12 months later. That was about 7 years ago..

I must say it was really enjoyable building the car, selecting wheels, engine, interior and paint colour.

This was the time that I found the forum. The first time that I realised that I was not alone in my build - that in fact there are thousands of enthusiasts just like me building, driving Cobras.

Whilst my 'Post' number is artificially high due to looking at gallery photos, I still have 'Posted' a few thousand entries either asking questions, just chatting, organising or talking about events.

I do propose to stay on the forum and will continue to do events in the States such as Santa barbara, SACC, Run N Gun and London Ohio this year.

Thanks for all of your help during my build and ownership.

Yes I will miss the Cobra - perhaps I'll build another..
