Default Please Help! with picking out a color!

Please Help!
I just ordered a Superformance Yesterday and need to finalize the color by tuesday. I am hoping that somwone can direct me to some pictures of Blue Cobras. I thought that i was going to do an Indigo with Titanium strips but i was told that is their most popular color combination and i want it to be a little different. Any help you could give me would be appreciated!

Go with what you like.

It's not like you are going to see dozens of these cars a day and be mistaken for someone else.

There are pics on the website but kinda small. There are 3 other blue shades other than the indigo blue.

Go with your first choice - who cares if its the most popular. 95% of the people that will see your car have never seen one before.

Personally, I love the titanium with black stripes. Check my album. It looks great. I always get comments about the color combo at shows.

Of course, a black car is always great, but I hate cleaning a car every day.

check out the advs of Cobra's for sale on this site, Cobra Country and eBay as blue is typically the majority color listed on 4sale cars-- and of course you know how many hues of blue exist . So, review the advs and get some idea of which blue you prefer . However, remember the colors will be different in real life vs computer screen representation . Bill , rare RED car . LOL >

Default Portofino Blue with a nose stripe

Is about Superformance's closest color of the Viking Blue of the Original FIA Roadsters that the Shelby Cobra Team Raced in Europe in 1964. I have one with the Red/Orange Gurney Nose Bar that I saw raced at the Targa. I don't know how to post pictures in here but if you Google " Dan Gurney Targa Floria " you will likely find some pictures of the car. If you are concerned about using a " historical " color but having something a little different this might be what you are looking for.....but everyone has their own likes, in any case the car's timeless beauty in any color is very pleasing to the eye.... You will love it !!

SPF will do any color you can come up with, (beyond the colors colors mentioned on their site). All you need is a PPG Global paint code. It costs a little more, but what the hey. Thats what I did.

YOU have to drive the car...YOU should pick a color(s) that YOU like...otherwise at some point you will have regrets.

Thanks for all the input. At first i wanted a red one but every car or truck i have ever owned has been red so i really want to make this one blue. When i ordered the car i've already got it figured in as a custom color. I found a picture of one cobra and is says its a 2000 ford truck color but i wich i could get intouch with the person to get some more pictures. I tried to attach the picture and was thinking one of you would respond as to who owns it. As to the gentelman from Palmer i only live about 45min away in Conway. I would love to get intouch and check out your color.

I am pretty sure that I have a few pictures of the midnight saphire blue outside . the pictures dont do this color justice . It really reacts to light , in the direct sunlight the paint really dances it was a Tricoat kind of similar to a candy . It has 5 coats of color on it to make it a bit darker so a few less and it is alot lighter. I will give a look for some picture taken out side and post them up here or send them to you.

You may want to check out Kirkham KMP144. It has sold recently but you can Google it.

They have a lot more galleries sorted by colors with paint codes included in many cases than I've seen anywhere else:

Thanks for the help guys, I think i'm going to stop by a local body shop tommorow and see what color charts they might have to look at. I'm going to check out the 2000 ford truck color. Chris sent me pictures of his car with the blue safire paint and it looks really awesome but am afraid it might be just a little to sparly for me. I am looking for a color a little lighter than a midnight blue. Any other suggestions would be great. I've got to come up with a color before Tuesday.
