Not to hijack this thread, but I had to respond to CobraMike's comment:

"Thanks for the reply. I like both types of racing, we don't really have any road tracks in Iowa that I'm aware of. Lot's of straigt roads!"

Just wanted to point out the we have a wonderful track in Iowa. The Mid America Motorplex is located about 15 miles south of the Omaha/Council Bluffs metroplex along Interstate 29.

And we are hosting an open track event this coming weekend should anyone be interested. Here's some links:
