I believe that all of us here admire Shelby for who he was and what he accomplished. However, quite a few us now look in disgust at what he has become in the past ten or so years.

Sad but true Bill, in fact I'm 'over' the sad part, it's just simply 'true' these days. With recent actions in the last couple of years Shelby has forever changed the general 'tone' of the respect he used to enjoy at an earlier point in time. It's not just Club Cobra, Shelby has had a polarizing effect on the automotive world at large. His actions have certainly tarnished his 'legacy', and the irony is that is the very thing he sought and fought so hard to protect. Money and power CANNOT buy you respect, but it can buy you so called 'friends'.

Actually this follows with the way the driver sits in the Cobra. His arm resting on the top of the door. It was probably necessary to produce Shelby deodorant for the Shelby Cobra to help with the Shelby BO emanating from the exposed Shelby armpit.

I don't think so Jay. This is a technical discussion on the elimination of offensive odors by "Shelby".
There is nothing loungish about this thread.

Glyn - You forgot a "." after "grumpy". You were also inconsistent with your use of commas after "PS". I used to proof read legal docs in college, developed into a bad habit of noticing every little error.
As for your fettishes, I guess an english teacher in high-heels would be the ultimate for you...
I won't make any comments about CS other than to say that it is not out of question to admire certain accomplishments while questioning others.

Mickey Mantle's reputation was that he was a mean drunk, but boy, he sure could hit a baseball.
JFK is considered a great President, but he chased women.

I think these would read better if we substituted 'and' instead of 'but' !
'but' always sounds so JUDGEMENTAL!

Ok. Lets play a little game here gentlemen.
Lets see who can list 10,... Ok, Ok, 5 things that Shelby did that was good/positive over the past 40 years.
The first three to do it (if we get that many here ), without any wise a$$ remarks, gets removed from the Shelby "Bashers" list by me the official keeper of the "list".
Whoa! slow down there boys....now lets not push and shove, all will get there turn, one at a time. Whose first?????
Think. Dig deep, come on think!!!! You can do it!

Mike...curse you and your literary expertise...you are correct...rofl (although I think you meant I needed a "," after grumpy, rather than a "." ????? )

I can only think of two:
Because he is Evan
Because he is an attorney
