I could see having it sit on a shelf next to some other Shelby memorobilia, an interesting conversation piece, good for a chuckle. I'll bid $31.12, wait, was that 312 dollars? I'll pass, at that price I wouldn't be laughing, I'd be crying!

I just don't know. It seems that as a conversation piece, it would be one hellava short conversation:
"What's this?"
"Carroll Shelby's own deoderant."
"Hmmm.."

Well, those comments were very nice of you guys. I really mean that. Thanks. I never concluded anyone here was "a bad guy" either, maybe a little misguided, wrong on the facts, lacking in Cobra knowledge and history, unwilling to acknowledge the facts, narrow minded yadda yadda yadda etc.... But, in the end this is not serious stuff and its just a hobby. Also don't worry I'll keep trying to get through to you guys since I do like you really. I'm here for you guys. Not to worry.
Its all just about cars, how serious can it really get?
As to the deodorant, do you think it will go up in value if you don't use it? If so it may be a good a buy. Its certainly REAL Shelby deodorant.

Hmm, does it matter if the deodorant is still in the can? Perhaps in 40 some years it might have leaked out. Or even if it was just used up all those years ago. You have to realize, it is all about the cans. Yes the cans, and maybe the label and cap too.
I hope the new owner does not do a rotisserie cap off restoration, because these things are only original once.

People are the way they are. It is apparent in the things they do and the things they say.
So, Evan, did you send a check or use Paypal??

If that can becomes a rare commodity (IF NOT ALREADY) replicas soon to follow and I gather they won't be hard to duplicate since all cans are produced alike and with today's graphics a label is made in a second. Hmmmmm got you folks thinking huh, like if that one on eBay is even real? lets talk to the Kirkhams and ask if they can produce an all metal version.

Now that's worth a chuckle and it didn't cost $312.

I believe any attempt to "replicate" without license the Pit Stop deodorant may likely be met with a letter from the Shelby legal department.
I hope he wouldn't make the same mistake twice and wait 35 years to do something about it.

I wonder if CS has 30 or so "NOS" cans stashed in a back room somewhere that he might fill up with NOS deodorant and try to sell them as original Pit Stop.

I wonder if CS ever marketed his own brand of ...uh,...condoms?
Just imagin the marketing possibilities...."You too can know what it feels like to be..."
I'll stop there, but if you just let your mind wonder for awhile, the permutations become quite funny, and endless (to those of us with demented humor, anyways).
Sorry for the tangent. My mind tends to wonder late in the afternoon, I think I may be hypoglycemic.
As you were.

Great novelty sticker to apply to anyone running a set of mist bottles in the back.

Good one!
I imagine sitting down with the grandkids one day when I'm old & gray and the topic of Ebay comes up.
"Well my boy, you never know about Ebay. I remember some fool once paying over $300 bucks for a can of deoderant."
I wonder what would happen if a potato chip or a piece of toast with Shelby's image/likeness on it went up for auction?

I bet that deodorant was some of Shelby's personal stuff that SAAC took from his attic and sold it for profit.
Shelby is right, Those thieving bastards!
