Billboards. Bumpy for the first few minutes but the car is warming up anyway... Very grippy. As long as I own this car it will have these tires on it.

Smile BFG's

You guys keep bad mouthing BFG's, I'm sure your talking about BFG Radial T/A. They are the worst tire you can put on a car/truck!!!!!

But the BFG G-Force tires and I'm sure they make other that are great. I have the G-Force on my 06 Mustang and my Cobra. Great in the rain and they hook up good on dry pavement.

Avons are great. A little pricey, but many I have blown lots more dough (some smartly and some stupidly) on other aspects of the car. There are few other ways that you can so easily make such a positive impact on performance, feel and looks on these cars than by running really good tires. Also, the Avons don't flat spot, badly leak air or throw rocks. Plus, they are DOT approved.

Although the Goodyear billboards look very cool, the Avons look more period correct (from 10 feet anyway) than the billboards as Goodyear did not make big letter tires in the '60s.

Stay away from the Eagle GT II's. Had them on my ERA FIA car and had little grip.

Strictly DR's and for the street, occasional strip are my experiences.
Comp TA's are terriblly hard.
BFG DR's are great tires that only last 4-5K miles but hook up WAY better than any other regular street tires. They're great everywhere from 0-120mph . Stiff radial sidewall make for good handling on typical highway roads. Not for slalom or road course. I had 3 pairs. MT ET Street Drag radials are absolutely awesome for the street or strip.. Terrific street & highway manners and maneuverability and...they stick like mad ...period.
