Hey Jack,
Even at a 45% loss in value today, it's still only dropped about a nickel... but over the month of July it has dropped nearly $0.70, ouch!

And while another happy Carroll Shelby disciple receives his signed glove box door and pauses for a rare photo op with the legend himself, Carroll is seen placing a sell order with his broker on 100,000 shares of his company's stock.

Stocks, what stocks?
When you own stock in a company that produces something of such small market appeal, and I don't mean automotive fanatic market, it will make next to nothing. Stock grows based on expected growth as compared to its past growth history. In shelby's case, stock is his name. What do you get for it? What is the potential for growth in say 15 years?
Just read what the analysts have to say. Yes a car may increase in value over time with the name Shelby attached to it, that means absolutely zilch to the financial analysts. Great for car collectors, terrible for mere mortals like you and me.
Zilch.
By the way, I love Carroll Shelby, always will. But buying stock in his company? I rather go to Vegas, odds are a bit better.

Got to love that average daily volume of 4,781 shares.
Funny thing is, someone had to buy those shares.

Why do you think I posted negative info. I owned the stock until a few weeks ago.
I bought at $ .20 and sold at $ .80. I took the profits and filled the tank on my truck.
Thanks SHel.

Hopefully, the person who sold the other 350 shares today, sold them beofre the block of 100,000 shares was sold. He or she could have gorged themselves on a candy bar with the money saved on that transaction.

I'm sure some people will say that it was worth the price for a piece of memorabilia.

Agreed. That's one reason why Disney is so widely held...their stock certificates are a true work of art worthy of framing and hanging on the wall. I'm sure the CS disciples feel the same way. Disciple.... Which one of you is "Peter" and is eventually going to betray CS in the end?

In Shel's case it was PETER (Brock) that got betrayed! You got to get up pretty early in the morning to fool Carroll.
