Default Thanks Daryl Holliday Motor Sports

Thanks Daryl for a professional job on building the body and frame on my 1966 Cobra. I'm having the car built in stages. The next stage is installing the jag. rear end. I have the utmost confindence in your craftmenship. You wouldn't have a real Cobra (worth 300k) in your shop if you didn't take care of business.

Thanks
Oggie

Ummm having this as your first post and having a blog entry here that is word for word copy and paste just reeks of "I have to get my name cleared one way or another so I can continue doing business". Not the best way to win over customers IMO. This may be legit, but if it is, it the poster was told to come here and post his happiness. It was not done out of his own accord.

Just do a search for "Holliday" here on CC. There is one positive thread (this one) and a bunch of others that are very, very negative.

I wonder if Oggie will come back and post anything else?

Can anyone tell me how someone "takes care of business" by having a real Cobra in his shop?

I have always been amazed at the amount of creative energy, effort and time that dishonest people put into their "Trade".
If they put half as much into honest work they would be more successful and have a heck of a lot less stress.

Not that oggie would fall into that category.

I have no way of knowing whether or not "oggie" and his post is legitmate, however I am a member of www.armyranger.com (we have a forum there as well) and on that site our site administrators can (through the I.P. address) when a post is submitted figure out the location of the messenger and thereby determine if it is someone being dishonest when they have been banned from the site and attempt to login with a new name.

It seems to me that if a person has been building AC Cobra Replicars over a 25 year period they'd learn how to do it right. Again I'm only the website designer, but it troubles me when people tend to slander his name without all of the "Complete Details". I don't know the specifics concerning Mr. Rich Lihou's car however one thing that he admits to is that Mr. Holliday offered to fix the problems (he forgot to mention that another mechanic rewired the car incorrectly and screwed it up) now I can't prove that for it was told to me and can only be considered heresay, however the person he sold the car to in fact had the problems fixed by Mr. Holliday's son and the car ran very well.

This is key

Rich Lihou
If this is true then why didn't it take that long to make the repairs after the car was sold?

Those are undisputed facts plain and simple, the repairs were made, the car was quoted to have run very well and the new owner was pleased. It sucks when only one side of a story is told and people "make blanket" assumptions without being objective. I thought this was a site populated with adults.

BUGSY00 designed Holliday's web site, so I'm sure there is no conflict of interest here. On the vote for Cobra builders web site mentioned on another thread on CC, there were ten votes total for Holliday Motorsport. On a scale of 1 (being the lowest = bad) and 5 (being the best = exceptional) ..... Holliday got an average of 1. That might have been a fact of ballot box stuffing ... maybe from the customer (customers?)that sued him.

Uhhh nope. Us kids just got our drivers licenses at a very early age. In my case, I was driving alone at 12 years old ... the truth.

I don't know if oggie is legit or not either.I do have my doubts though.
With your Ranger history maybe you should check him out ?

I was referring to Daryl in my post, not oggie.
There are plenty of people who spend their lives doing things half-a$$ and never get any better with time.

Yes Cowtown Rangers generally are a$$holes, and you're correct I'm not from Texas though I am an American.

But lets get one thing straight, its guys like me who have made sure that guys like you can enjoy the Freedoms of our Country. Rangers generally earn it the hard way, in my book that's far from being an idiot dickhead.

Finally, there have been some good points regarding why there have been complaints against Holliday Motorsports my opinion is without direct knowledge you should refrain from placing judgement in a public forum.

I thought this thread was dead. I guess not. I'm ready for anything.

Dude, Ranger or not...become one with the forum. We've got some heroes here that don't shout out about it.

That's right and as much as you thump your own chest you're certainly no Audie Murphy either (a Texan).

I keep waiting for you to start posting photos of any Decorations you may have received.

GEEZ..give it a rest.

This thread just about fades away and no one is caring about it .....then here you come bringing it back to the surface whining like a little girl about it.

You must not be the sharpest bayonet on the field.

Rember the previously planted post on this topic by Road-N-Air? Here is a direct quote from it: "By the way I happen to know that he is restoreing (sic) an original right now worth over $300K, so obviously he's doing something right."

Mr. Holliday seems convinced this 300K dog, errr Cobra, can hunt when it comes to establishing his credibility. Obviously, he doesn't understand that planting posts has the opposite effect.
