have used the c-6 numerous times, small block and big block, cant beat the cost and beefyness. i have a beefed up AODE behind my fe the overdrive is
sweet at .67:1, costs more than a c-6 but i would not be willing to give up my OD to save a couple hundred bucks. FB performance, guarantees the trans's
in writing for racing!!!! will handle (as they advertise) 1200 HP.
been in the car over 2 years with no issues.

I have a PA performance C-4 super comp no brake. Guaranteed for life up to 1000 HP.

The only complaint I have is no OD like FWB has. Highway miles over 65 MPH is too high for extended periods of time.

It's great for cruizin' and drag runs though.

Just get the right torque converter. I have a 2800-3000 stall in mine built locally by Alan Pope.

I am looking at a Gearvendor OD/UD unit now.

Just another option.

Dan

Hey Dan,

My C-6 is fine at highway speeds as you probably are aware

I have a 2.88 rear axle ratio. You might be able to go as low as 2.75 if you have the Ford differential? It would make highway cruising quite nice and would be easier/cheaper than Gear Vendors.

BTW I checked Gear Vendors myself and their unit is longer than my driveshaft!

Tom
