I believe the SPF uses Dana Rear ends, BMW radiators (I think), a VW Steering column. All new parts however. I test drove both (along with a FF, ERA). The Backdraft and SPF are both fine cars. I had a personal list of things I was looking for, and for me the SPF was the perfect choice. But with all makes and models, there are pros and cons each.
