Great pictures and you have it all figured out now. The Oregon Coast Line has some beautiful scenery as does the Washington and California Coast Lines. But to see the big trees in California except the Redwoods you need to come inland to Sequoia National Park.
As for washing the Cobra, it would have been faster to have just backed it into the river.

Just up the road a couple miles from that waterfall is Clear Lake. It's the head waters of the McKensie river. Crystal clear, cold water in that lake. And some of the best tasting trout you will find anywhere.

I think I was about 5 when we first went there to fish. Love that part of the country.
