Tom,
Upload the resized images to your CC gallery. If you open the picture in your gallery, you can right click on it to see the properties. Copy the URL properties and choose the "insert image" icon (looks like a yellow postage stamp). Copy the url in the pop up window.
There might be an easier way...but that's how I do it.
