Who drives their Cobra in the cold weather?

I went for drive on Saturday morning in the Cobra. No top. Brrrrrr! It was COLD! About 30 degrees.

It was actually great. Enjoyed it tremendously. All bundled up, wool hat, socks, toasty gloves and sun glasses.

Got alot of smiles from people sitting in their nice warm cars and a number of thumbs up!

Anybody else enjoy driving in the cold or tried it?

See, heres proof I can partake in other subjects! :D

;)

Hope you didn't freeze your rivets off.

BossCER 11-24-2008 10:14 AM

That's enough proof for me. You're a Real trooper ;)

I actually took the car out this weekend.

It was in the low 60's. Had to actually wear a sweatshirt with my shorts and bare feet.

When it gets really cold down here (high 50's) in January, we actually have to wear long pants. Still barefoot though!

Damn, I hate these cold winters!

Sometimes it gets so cold that we have to store our cars till winter is over. Usually takes about a week!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

We're pu--ies on this coast compared to you guys in NJ.

You guys are the real men when it comes to driving your Cobras in the Winter and snow!

HI Cobra 11-24-2008 11:27 AM

I couldn't drive mine this weekend - rained the whole time. Winter is here -
down to the mid 70's and colder at night, with a lot more rain than during
the summer. I too drive barefoot and keep the slippahs handy for when I
have to walk somewhere.

CobraEd 11-24-2008 11:34 AM

Uhh

I drive mine in the cold weather, . . . but not in the REAL cold weather

.

WarrenG 11-24-2008 11:37 AM

Had mine out Friday, temp in the high 30's, windchill at 55mph - cold! I'll take mine out as long as it isn't raining or snowing. That's what jackets are for!

Wayne Maybury 11-24-2008 11:37 AM

I can't drive mine as the law here makes it illegal to operate any vehicle that is not equipped with 4 snow tires during the winter months.:LOL:

By the way, it isn't really very cold yet. Cold is mid January, -25 or -30 with a howling wind. That is what Explorers with heated seats were built for. :p:rolleyes:

Piked up my car at FE Specialties in Sacto. last November and headed home to LA. Got to the "grapevine" on I-5 and it had snowed on the pass the night before. Stopped and put on every piece of clothing I had and headed up the pass. 38 frick'in degrees. Funny thing was that as I charged up the summit at 100+ (just to get it over with) I noticed a lot of the cars I was passing had their driverside windows rolled down, in this freezing weather. Took me about 20 minutes to realize they were seeing a Cobra coming at them and they wanted to hear it go by.
You could all most hear the wives: "Why are you rolling the window down Harold? It's freezing out" "Shut up honey, thats a Cobra".

Juggernaut 11-24-2008 11:53 AM

I'll be driving mine as long as the temp is about 39 degrees, no precip and the roads are dry.

Been there, done that!;)

rodneym 11-24-2008 12:08 PM

cold

I feel fortunate enough just to have REPLICA cold weather in SoCal.

That was Not a shot at you, REAL 1, honest.

Same as Warren. As long as it's clear, I try and get out whenever I can. We get some sub-40 degree days in the SF/Monterey Bay area during the winter. Funny, the desire to drive my car in sub-40 degree weather overrides the rational side of my brain that tells me I'm going to freeze my A$$ off.

REAL 1 11-24-2008 01:51 PM

Hey, for you guys in California you know iwhen we consider it really cold here in the North East? When the snot running down your nose freezes!:LOL:

Hey, you guys enjoy Thanksgiving!:)
