Default Had to sell

Well, it's been a bad year at work and needed to catch up on things so I put the car up for sale at a price that I felt if it sold it wouldn't seem so painful.

Car was sold to a guy in Texas for my asking price and away it went. Didn't seem so bad...caught up on some bills etc. etc. and now...it feels like someone cut my balls off.

To the wife it's just a car but sh1t.. it was a childhood dream and the best dam way to work off some stress.

I'd like to thank all the guys from the local club here on Long Island who helped me sort the dream out and for the good friendships made along the way.

Dale

If there is anyone here that hasn't contemplated what you just went through, then they are either lying or their name is Bill Gates. Good luck to you and keep that fire burning inside...as Warren just said, there is always Round #2 to look forward to. Set your sights on a new goal.

Dale

You are not alone, Warren is right about there will be others. Times are tough as well so you will not be alone in the long run.

I agree about the mental stress relief. I tell my wife it is cheaper than a shrink and it resides in the garage in the event of a need to sell.

Best of luck, start to plan a KMS it will take you to a better place.

Dale, Sorry to hear about having to sell. Yes, by all means, start to plan now & look forward to your next project!

Dale for what it's worth my wife thought of my Cobra as just a car for the first five years but now she know's it has it's own healing values and thinks of it as a member of the family. Don't get me wrong because she will always let me know when I am spending to much time in the garage with the Cobra or some other car project.

We have had my Cobra for nine years now and we have been through sb and big block, four speeds and 5 speeds, two fours and other iterations of carburation but when all is said and done she loves the Cobra too. I have learned when to spend time on the Cobra or spend money on it over time. I have also learned that if times get tough enough I would sell mine too. Family first! Keep a good attitude and as others have said, do it again when the time is right.

Know how you feel. Biggest mistake I ever made was selling my Cobra last year. Didn't need to or have to sell but I did. I thought I wanted a streetrod. Now I have one and it is very nice but it just doesn't have the catchet the Cobra did.

I've owned two now maybe it's time for #3

Dale, I feel your pain.

My DeStresser was going up in the airplane and flying every which way but straight & level. Theres nothing like looking up & seeing the Earth below you, then pulling through the loop and having every piece of loose dirt, lost pencils & batteries, and the sectional you forgot to secure land on your head as you reapply the G's.

Had to give up on the Acro because I was spending waaay too much $$$ & spending way too much time away from my family. The reality is I'm never going to be Sean Tucker. So I bit the bullet.

The sick part is theres an Aerobatic box right outside my front door, and those knuckleheads are always out there grinding away. Its a sweet, special kind of torture that I must experience daily.
