Not Ranked
Have any of you SOHC Cobra guys driven them on a road race course? If so, I'm curious as to your opinion of the car's handling. I'm definitely not an expert on road racing, but having driven at Mid-Ohio and Summit Point tracks, my wedge-head 427 definitely produces enough under-steer that I'm always aware of it. The additional mass of the SOHC engine would probably be felt!
There may be several groups of opinions within this thread. Some may lean toward Looks and some have a preference for Performance.
Many years ago, around 1995, I spoke with one of the principals at the original Hi-Tech in Arizona. He drove a customer-owned Hi-Tech Cobra that had a SOHC engine in it. I asked his opinion of the car. He stated it was a great straight-line car.
