Try these guys. They seem to always be involved in SOHC's, both in cars and for sale stand-alone. They are on Ebay all the time.

Retread...but a great one!

Jay Leno's 427

He had the car built when he had a few bucks, but didn't have enough to buy a real one. I think the car is 20 years old.

In the video he says he has had it for over 25 years. originally had a 427 but he wanted the SOHC in it.

Great video. Big difference left to right where the front tires sit with respect to the fender lip. Passenger tire is outside the lip and the drivers side is where it should be. Now I'll sit back and wait for all the experts to tell me that this is the way the real ones were.

The SOHC motor is the ultimate! A close friend of mine- Ron Schillinger used to race one in a 69 Nascar Mustang built by Holman & Moody. Had both a Cammer & a Boss 429 for the car. The car got worth too much money to race (& break) so Ron sold it & went to a carbon fiber body blown Alcohol 385 series 69 Mustang. Cammers are currently being reproduced. Price is $32,500 Maybe someday I'll stick one in a cobra as it would be a wicked ride! Thanks for the video post, That is one Cool car!

I liked the ending..."oh I gotta do a burn out" yeah!

I was doing some remodeling on a customer's house in Beverly Hills and every once in awhile as I was going up Coldwater Canyon from the San Fernando Valley side I would get a glimpse of Jay Leno comming down. First time he was driving a Pantera or Lambo and another time he was in some open cockpit racer that looked to be from the 20's or 30's. If you have never driven Coldwater it is the most unforgiving road on the planet. I mean rough with pot holes and asphalt patches with concrete sections transitioning into whatever. A road that will beat up a modern car much less an antique.

Things like that always made that trip an adventure. Nice Video! Nicer car!!

John

Jay's Garage is a very cool site, a lot of fun to watch and he does a great job of show casing a lot of neat stuff.
I did note that he indicated that his Cobra was not a "kit Car" but a handmade replica, built about 20 years ago. I think he bought it and change the engine to the Cammer and thats about it.
I think it's still a kit car/home made/handcrafted beast...just like all the non-Shelby's out there. Very Cool !

Correct to what standard? It would be nice if your web site was somewhat functional and had content before you SPAM us.
