Looks very nice Dave, and it's displayed on a REAL small block, not a make believe one. You know what I'm talkin' about

PS: Is there enough of a recess for the thermostat to fit?

Yes, there is a recess machined into the back of the neck on the tank that accepts a standard thermostat.
