Default Pulley set up ideas- need to buy a set

I am building a 351 W and want to run a billet aluminum serpentine system with only an alternator, crank, and water pump pulley. I have seen the March setup and would like to run something like that, but for less money.

I'm sure someone has come up with a good solution. Any ideas helpful. Still need to buy a water pump too so can go either rotation to make it all work.

Thanks.

I went with a March V-belt set-up because I had an idea I might want to run a surge tank and they don't work with the March serpentine set-up on the 351W. That being said, Summit has their own pulley set at a good price. If you go with March they have a tech line and you can get the individual part numbers from them and order from Summit, Jegs, etc. for anything you want. My biggest problem was making the alternator fit where I wanted it so I could remove the valve covers from time to time (solid lifters).

Give Tony a call at 870-246-7460 and maybe he can make you a good deal on the March stuff that you want. they are about the best for the buck that we have found in an aluminum pulley set up. Thanks, Keith

If you are not carefull here you can spend a lot of money trying to get your pulley and brackets right. Summit also makes a serpentine pulley set up for about half the price of March but I am sure there are trade offs. Check with Keith Craft he builds these engines all the time and can guide you in the right direction with a proper pulley and bracket set up.

On my setup I used a -- Stock lower 5.0L mustang serpentine pulley , (blasted painted black)
--a march water pump pulley (alum clear-coat ) and a serpentine pulley on my 3rd gen alternator (yellow zinc).

(only had to pay for the march WP pulley, had the others)

Waterpump is normal rotation STEWART.
