				Side pipes clearance question ?
			 
			 
			
		
		
		
		Guys what's suppose to be the clearance between the biggest part of the pipe and the body,one of my pipe was welded slightly crooked,it's kinda going away from the body,is there a "by the book" type of specification,thanks for any inputs,

		One of those things that only you will notice.  But if you're like most of it, will drive you nuts until it's right. Mine sits about 1.5" out.

		I am anal with that kind of stuff and it really tickles me to know that one pipe might not be exactly the same distance from the body than the other one,i guess i'll have to try my best to make them  look the same or let it go.

		For the pipes pointing to the ground,it's my bad,i put the right to the left and the left to the right causing the exhaust tip to point down,oops !

		My Side-pipes are 5/8" away from the body and I wonder if that will burn or blister the paint or fiberglass? 
 
Would appreciate knowing if you have/had pipes within the 5/8" from the body and experienced problems.

		I have not seen what too much heat does to an exhaust manifold.  Do you have pictures? 
 
I know that incorrect/too retarded can make headers glow red hot, but I've not had any personal experience.
