Here in africa convertibles are overated, its so hot out with the top down and with the heat from the motor at your ankles that you feel like an egg in a frying pan, my soft top stays on all year.

same kind of weather...same kind of roads...same kind of speeds... I usually ride between May and Sept when cold is not a problem....it very seldom rains in Eastern Washington and I am rarely more than 60 miles from a garage or a trailer.....our problem is unrelenting sun and hot temps and so I usually go between 6 am and 10 am and that way I also avoid the " curious" people and can stop without creating a crowd... my top has been on just as a test to see how it works but it is also...under the bed...if you are just driving for fun and can control the time, why have a top ??
