Still no excuse for violence. Every day you read about domestic violence up to and including murder. If one woman is no good for you, just say goodbye and rebuild your life. Too many nice women out there to waste on a nut. Same for men.

All you ever hear on the news and the News Papers about abuse that take place WITH MEN AGAINST WOMEN. What they don't realize is the abuse that men withstand, like the ones mentioned above. Domestic abuse is always related to what men does to women.. A lot of men go through a lot of S**t, for what reasons, I don't know. I'm devorced and would never put up with that S**t.......
My wife was never physical, or destructive in anyway, however the mental torture is also another thing I had to deal with...her Cheating A$$.
Men are winps for putting up with all that crap mentioned above. Lately, everytime a man has to do something for plesure or for the family..."I HAVE TO CHECK WITH THE WIFE TO GET APPROVAL". That always piss me off. The guy goes to work and the wife sits home and he needs to get a new sets of tires for his car, and he has to check to get permission from the wife..
God, can't a man pick the color of is Cobra without being over ruled by the wife?
Jesus, what's wrong here guys?
My neighbor never comes out of his house, because as soon as he does, the wife always calling him. He panic has soon as he sees her. THAT IS WHAT YOU CALL PU$$Y WIPPED.

I'm with you on the "gotta ask the wife for permission..." thing. Good grief I've seen some "whipped" guys...
I take good care of my family---family first---but their is no freak'n way I'm going to ask my wife if it is "okay" for me to buy something for my Cobra---I'll keep her informed, but I'm tell'n, not ask'n.

he should have seen it coming- if he's been married to her for any number of years he would have known she was um, prone to being a bit short tempered.
His delivery method was rude, arrogant, and downright 'in your face'. Showing up with the new car, the new cutie girl, was pretty immature, coming from a man in a married relationship. Both parties were way way out of line. So... we're condoning the guy having an affair, and then announcing 'by the way... i'm leaving you...' kind of thing.
tsk tsk.
no problem with wanting a divorce; but really, kinda arrogant on his part, too.
bad deal for the car, and he's lucky it wasn't him.
She should be glad he's gone- cheatin' loser, he should be glad to be rid of her- anger management issues.
regarding guys being pu$$ies for 'asking permission' to do stuff? hmmm. it's called courtesy- i do my thing, my hubby does his, but we definitely 'check with each other' in case there is really something we need to do- like a family reunion, kids performance etc.
i know i know. crashing the party, but hey, ya'll need a little lightening up!
get your best girl and go for a ride! vrrooooommmmmmmmmmm!

Good to hear a womans point of view on the subject. Still no reason for violence, however the guy behaves. Violence breeds violence. No need for it in our society.

Huge difference between "keeping your spouse informed" and "asking your spouse for permission".

Totally agree!
A couple of weeks ago I was with my car at a cruise in, and there was this guy looking at my car and he was telling me he was in the infant stage in his built and he was there with is wife, and he was making comments like I would like to put 17" wheels on the car and she will say no, stick with a 16 inch, and he would say i would like a 6 speed and she will say let me think about it...Every aspect of his decision on his car had to be approved by her....
God it made me sick just listening to him..
This is a quote from another site where he made a comment about looking for a motor.. [b]Here he goes "[b]I'm looking for an engine for my FFR.
After the London Cobra Show, the Finance Minister decided I need something better than the cruddy donor engine and she wants a Mass-Flo system on top of it to mimic a carburetor""""""""""""""""""

One of my friends had an ugly divorce that dragged on for over a year arguing about how to split up the assets. Both sides wasting away the funds having their lawyers contact each other. Both of them just trying to annoy the other.
This soon to be ex-husband seems like he was just asking for it by showing up with the car and the girl friend. If she is angry, of course she is going to want to take away the things he wants, not because she wants or needs them, because it will upset him. If he had any brains at all he would not have shown up with the girlfriend and waited until the divorce was settled before acquiring any new toys that he wanted to keep.

I commonly say "Let me check with the Wife". But it is more of a check to see if she had anything already planned, or if there is something i am committed to and forgot (do that a lot). Any time I want to go out with the guys, the only thing she will say is, "If you are going to a strip bar, don't give the girls any of my dollar bills".

Here's another way to get even with a former spouse you don't like. Create a Myspace profile for her. You may have to log on to myspace to see this link.

Funny how many slants you can get on this subject by reading all of the responses. I agree with "Hey Little Cobra". Both of them are at fault but for different reasons. Also, abuse takes many forms and is a door that definitely swings both ways. Most of the time the male gets the blunt end of the stick in the abuse arena because we are bigger and stronger (usually). However, the verbal and psychological abuse that some women seem so adeptly capable of is just as damaging and demeaning as actual physical abuse. Usually, though, it is the man who ends up paying dearly in divorce, especially here in NJ, no matter what the underlying cause of the breakup. I know that all too well from personal experience.
You know, sometimes it IS just easier to remain in the marriage even when things aren't good. After all, what guarantee does anyone have that things will be better with the next relationship. I wonder if in two years that young cute Asian chick will turn into the same kind of psycho his wife seemed to be. Anyway, the only persons who ever win in a divorce are the attorneys. After 18 years with my second wife, I actually have come to the realization that I might have been better off working things out with my first rather than throwing in the towel.
Present wife has one helluva temper and doesn't hesitate to show it. When I married her I thought she was Miss Right. What I didn't realize at the time was that her first name was ALWAYS. What am I supposed to think of a woman whose only comment when she first saw my Cobra was "What an ugly looking little car." OUCH, that hurt.

Mannnnnnnnnnn, I can feel your pain. I would feel awfull if my spouse had said that about my car. I dovorce after 23 years of marriage...Don't plan on marrying anytime soon, but who knows, when that new Asian girl is going to jump out at me at a car show. Still looking for Miss right, but I'm willing to wait......
Life is good right now, however it is a little lonely at times. It's hard to find the right one when you don't know if it is a financial attraction or some other reason.
Because of the economical struggles we are all having you never know what are the motives...
