Steering back to the Kirkham for a moment, if you look closely in one of the pics, as I finally did, which shows the passenger side of the car, you'll see a reasonably-sized oil leak sitting on the ground where parked.

FWIW, the seller said his Southern Automotive receipt shows a 1968 standard bore side oiler block.

I don't think it will be going any higher than $75K, so the "winning bidder" seems to have gotten a decent deal for a Kirkham. For my $75K, I'd take Sal's CSX4241.

I doubt that car sold to anyone. That is just my take. He was looking for $75K and would not sell for less. I just didnt see it as investment vehicle for anything over $65K. Once again only my opinion.
