McFEZ's Clutch survives Club Cranky
For the first time ever, the clutch in ol' 83 survived a Club Cranky event! Of course, I killed a set of tires, an oil cooler, the motor in a Chevy van, and ran the whole two events with a dead cylinder.
But the CURSE IS BROKEN, I hope.

New records set
McFez,
You forgot to mention that McFez and Cranky broke the VIR track or should I say off track record for the most amount of turf mowed in a single weekend. But it sure was fun and no Blue Armco stripes.

Yeah, we got a little rambunctious at times. But the place was loaded with street cars, many of which were seaping antifreeze, oil or both all over the place. Especially the unlucky ones that blew a motor, and one that chunked a piece of crank damper right into his own oil pan and then did at least one, mayby two laps leaking slowly. I think Cranky and I were the only ones running full slicks, and that might have been a contributing factor too. At one point, I pointed Cranky by, because he hadn't spun off in 8 or 9 laps, was due, and I didn't want to miss the show when he did.
Or, we just f'd up a lot. What ever...

McFez, I think it was those cork- suckers with the street cars messing up our track.

Wilf,
If I passed McFez it was because he let me by, even on 7 cylinders he still has me by about 40 HP
Our pal McHank told us those cork-suckers with the street cars and their antifreeze and oil spilling on the track made it very slippery for the slick tire crowd.

Who WAS faster?????
Hard to tell...betwixt Cranky, McFez and Joe Rodimista, we had three Cobras all with comp windscreens, 2 SB and 1 BB, all with open pipes.
All three were eating everybody alive (Okay, except for the Cup car.)
You can give Cranky all the point bys you want. If he wants to make a point and say, get you to drive faster (like with me!) then he'll stay on yer a$$ until he is happy with the results.
Now McFez....you had to see him pouring the Elmers glue on his slicks before a session. Had he used Krazy Glue, maybe he wouldn't have mowed the lawn so much.
We had a blast! But now both McFez and McMustang's motors are hurtin'.
Cranky, where are the pics????

Sick Motor
BTW, add McHank's engine to the list. Head gaskets are in order.
I am looking forward to the Glen!

Gentlemen,
Your photos will be arriving soon. I have one more roll of film to develop and then I'll send the photos to Cranky. On the first roll of film, I have some outstanding shots of Johnny Mac and Cranky coming out of the Oak tree turn. I was shooting with a 400mm lens so I caught some nice full frame shots of you guys.
I also caught a nice shot of one of the Superformance cars doing a 180.
Also wanted to say thanks for the ribses and beer! Wish I could have stayed and watched on Sunday but duty called. I enjoyed hanging with you fine gentlemen and I hope that "Casa McCranky" will become an annual event.
Cheers
Jim

Cheeks:
I gather that you all had a great time at VIR. Too bad it conflicts with KCCarlisle.
Say, if you need a Chevy motor for the van I am reaching the end of the road (literally) with my old GMC Suburban. The motor ( 4 bolt) has only 40k on it or so. Another trip or two to the Canadian border with PEPI and the body will be ready for Brookfield Wreckers.
