I find it hard to compare a late model car to a car with 60's technology, but a well prepared S/B Cobra with good tires, sorted springs and dampers etc will make a good showing and beat an R34 as they come from the factory!
There is an old saying and this would apply to either car:
SPEED COSTS MONEY SON, HOW FAST DO YOU WANT TO GO?
