Default 429cid w/4-spd toploader & lakewood bellhousing

Having problems installing motor mounts. after mesuring back 22-1/2" from 2x2 crossmember on center of the headers the frame mounts will not square up between the top an bottom of the frame rails. when I do square them the motor and tranny are at to steep of an angle, the tranny tailshaft housing is well below the tranny crossmember. I believe the engine frame mounting plates (that has the 4-holes) are at the wrong angle.any body have this kind of issue? tommorrow I plan to see joe about this. any help would be appreciated! frustrating
