Default Le Mans top

Pick up the top from Mr.Bruce. Had to extend the back to fit the trunk. Probably leave it flat black for awhile. It match's the side pipes.

was going to do invasion strips but just looks weird off centered.

rough hinges. new one to come

Good detail...I was happy to see as I scrolled further down that you included photos of your solutions for latching and hinging. Good job on the install! How did you go about attaching to the top of the windscreen and the rear portion of the top to the body?

Allen
I just did the #10 screws in the window track. I did buy "draw latch buckles" from Master Mccar. I was going to glass them in the side front top and buckle them to the windshield side post. But I like to add some sort of window and not sure if they be in the way.

I copied your design for the side mount except I glassed in the L bracket to the side of the pillar. The L bracket is about 1/2" off the side of the car.

.

Rear portion is floating. Having driven a few miles it doesn't seem to be a problem of flopping around. I've seen some use "S brackets" coming out of the truck. I don't think I'm going to do it though.

Kinda surprised how much wind still comes through the car. But it does seam FASTER!

lookin' good, looks real swoopy. I see you only needed the extra material on the very back. The boys from down under will be getting their tops soon, they'll probably be looking at these pichers.

Thanks Bruce
Love the top.
Boys down under. The bulb. seal to order from Master Mccarr is

Line Description Ordered Shipped Balance Unit Price Total

Hatch Seal
1 1120A323 Edge-Grip Rubber Seal, Bulb Next to Grabber, 3/16" Edge, 7/16" Bulb Width 10
Feet 10 0 1.48 Per Foot
14.80
top to body seal
2 1120A312 Edge-Grip Rubber Seal, Bulb on Top, 3/16" Edge, 3/8" Bulb Width, 10' L 10
Feet 10 0 1.40 Per Foot
14.00

I made a mistake on the first order. I hope this saves you a bit of time. The first bulb seal #1120A323 with the bulb on the side is also good for the windows if you are going to make a hinge window. I need to order more.

Ron
