Default Here's a dumb question - how to remove front and rear light lenses

How do you remove the headlights, parking lights, brake light lenses from the body. I don't see any exterior screws on the lenses or chrome rings and I don't want to start prying at anything. It doesn't seem that the chrome rings unscrew and the rings on the front headlights are loose and spin pretty easily, while the rear rings don't seem to move at all.

So how do I get off these circular lenses off the housing? I was thinking of installing LED's in the rears. So if you have any recommendations, including parts numbers and supplier, I'd really appreciate it.

Sorry for the dumb question. Thanks.

There is a sheet metal screw under the headlight trim rings, plumule the bottom out (forward) and up and away. There's a cage that holds the headlight in the bucket remove the screws with the slots (not the adjusters) and the glass part will fall out...

The parking light lenses and chrome trim rings come off as one piece by twisting
them 90 degrees counter clockwise and pulling straight off. The brake light lens removal is accessed from inside the trunk.

The headlights have a screw at the bottom (actually slightly offset from the bottom) if they’re Lucas F700 lamps but his may not be. The screw isn’t hard to see, so I’m thinking they might not be Lucas lamps.

If these are the lights that come with the A&C kit:

For the rear, use a small PLASTIC scraper.
Slide it up under the rubber lip on the taillight lens. Move the scraper around the circle and the lens will "pop" out of the rubber.
You`ll see 3 screws going into the body. There should be 3 speed nuts on the screw threads. Unscrew them. (Don`t forget to unplug the wiring going into the back of the taillight housing)

As for the headlights, there should be a small phillips screw on the underside of the chrome trim ring. Remove that and "pop" the trim ring off.
You`ll see some screws going into the body (once again with speed nuts on the backside) Remove these and the light will come out of the bucket.
(once again, don't forget to unplug the headlight connection)

Clear as mud?
LOL!
