offset seat
I was watching a program on Carol Shelby the other night and they were showing his first cobra. The first thing I noticed was that the drivers seat looked like it was installed with a twist to the left so the seat back is closer to the front of the car the father right you move across it. It might be that it was just beat up after the years but it made some sense. I know this is a small block car but I am assuming the foot pedals are offset from the drivers seat just like the big block cars.
I have been in an A&C car and though the set up with the foot pedals being left of center from the seat felt a little strange but figured I would get comfortable with it when I spent some time in it.
I wonder now that I have the opportunity to build my own if maybe a little offset in the seat to compensate for the pedal location might be in order. I will always hate the way the seat looks with no one in it but maybe overall the driveability will be better and make it worth the look of a twisted seat.
Any Thoughts????
