Working hard trying to get done before winter. Got alot done this week. Windshield is in. Ran the alternator wire to the cut off switch. Got the Holley 800dp figured out.
Here are some rear firewall pictures. I found a metal supermarket. They had .060 diamond plate. I thought it might look good on the rear fire wall. Here some pictures. The hole in the middle bottom is for the electric cut off switch.







The stain from the right bezel is dust from the fiberglass. I can't believe how much a digital camera picks up!



Also test fitted the hood the air cleaner clears no problem. A performer rpm knock off intake with a edelbrock aircleaner.



I found a nice overflow for the radiator at pull a part from a kia for 3 bucks. It fits in the frame nicely.

By the way, what radiator are you using. I've been having a lot of overheating issues, especially if the temperature is above 85. I can't get caught in any traffic or I'm in trouble. I've upgraded my fan, and that helpd a little. But now I'm thinking about changing my radiator this winter. I bought my radiator from A&C, and I'm sure I can do much better.

To cwilson, the issue may not be the radiator, it may be the fan mounted directly to the radiator, if yours is mounted that way? If you look at the total surfae area of the radiator then look at the fan you can see it is not pulling air through a good portion of the cooling fins. so when the car is not moving this portion of the raditor is not doing any cooling. Sorry for being so long winded. In short you need a raditor shroud with the fan mounted at the opening so it pulls air through all the cooling surface.

I have an Afco aluminum radiator. They modified it to accept AN 16 fittings. I run a 180 thermostat and Edelbrock aluminum high volume water pump. I have a Derale spiral blade fan attached to the radiator.

With rare exception, I've never had a problem overheating.
