I remember a blond from the 70's in a pretty good video, "Debbie Does Dallas!"

My IROC did a burnout the entire length of the Tortilla Flat parking lot when we all left. Only the last Cobra behind me saw this. Is there an award for best burnout? Hard to believe......... in a dang Camaro!

If I rode everywhere with Chuck, I think I'd reach back for 70's flicks also, Ralph..

Hey Bill, ain't that Chevy power wunnerful? SO different from the blue oval stuff you're used to. Think how it would be in something 1000#s lighter and you'll understand why I roll the way I do.

Hey Karlos,
So what is the latest info on your Hot Rod Chebbie? Last I understood the body was completed, the chassis had down tubes added from the dash bar towards the front connecting ahead of the spindle centerline. Am I close here with what you have done?
What is left to get her back on the road? What are you building the car for it's main useage.... drag race with a little street or street with a little drag strip use?

I was the last one to leave I think. I stood next to some of the people and listened to their comments as some of "those" people left. Funny!

[1] now that was useless
[2] I bet that old women loved that hole in her stocking from the stones
[3] Do those cars have mufflers?
[4] Grown men doing that sort of thing; it is just terrible! Ethel, did you get his plate number? I liked that fat guy with no hair.
[5] There should be a law against those things; they are dangerous
[6] Look the other way Henry! Take that smile off your face!
[7] I needed one of those when I was 33 years old
[8] My uncle had one of those MGs; they were made in England.
[9] that is why we have no gas in this country
[10] Fu....king republicans!
And a few of you need to learn how to do burn outs without scaring old ladies to death. A few of you were just a few seconds from running into parked cars etc. That will wake you up in the morning.......

Soon.. But not too soon. She has to edit and put it together
I just tried to set it up with ProShow and it stalled the works. It might be a while...

Video is one of the most processor intensive things you can do on your computer. You have to have a fast processor or else it will take forever -- especially if you want to do any High Definition stuff. If I remember right ProShow is a great program but is primarily designed to make slideshows that can have video snippets inserted into them. You really need a dedicated video editing program to keep things under control. You could get Final Cut Pro which is the untimate for Mac's but costs more than a complete set of Michellin PS-2's, and again you gotta have a smokin' fast computer to take advantage of it. I use an old version of Magix Movie Edit Pro that I got somewhere on a deal on the web for less than $100. Sony makes a good video editing program called "Vegas Movie Studio" that's not too expensive and I've heard good things about it. Look around on the web for deals on software. I'm not all that familiar with video programs for Mac's but I'll bet there are many.
My PC has a 3.4 GHz single core processor with 2 GB of RAM and it's too slow for video editing -- takes too long but I guess it eventually gets the job done. I would love to have one of the new computers with the Intel I7 quad core processor with about 10 GB of RAM and a super fast video card. Oh yeah, HD here we come...
We gotta get more guys and gals into this video stuff because Cobra events are just made for video. Unfortunately there's a learning curve on doing good video that's pretty steep and I'm trying to learn. There are tons of different formats to deal with and keep straight too. A lot of fun though.
--Dan, some time ago I emailed Marti a link to download the Laughlin video in Quicktime format for her Mac. I hope she got it and it worked for her.
