Default Hey Chopper

Mr. G..

Just wondering if you are out there. I hope all is doing well and you and the lovely J are still enjoying life. How is the clinic doing?

Mike

Default Back from the dead

Yes, we're still here in the area and doing OK. Thanks for asking.

I've been doing a lot of traveling lately, mostly to Yuma. We're in the process of avionics integration in the next generation Apache helicopter, and we've been involved in sensor and weapons testing. The only place we can do that safely is at a government proving ground, and the closest is at Yuma, so that's where I've been for most of the past year. That's what took so long to answer this message.

We sold the clinic to East Valley Pediatrics a little over a year ago. It was certainly a learning experience for both of us and the financial dust is pretty much settled now. The clinic is still going strong. Jan is still working for East Valley Peds and plans to continue doing that for a little while longer, although she recently moved out of the Apache Junction clinic and will be working at another of their offices in the future. She still is driving her Miata and has recently gotten into motorcycling with an '06 Suzuki 800 V-twin. We're trying to get her up to speed so she can start riding on her own more often.

I haven't been into sports cars lately but have been looking at the Cheetahs. I e-mailed Bill Thomas Continuation series for a tour of their assembly facility in Tempe and they seem to be amenable but I just haven't had the time to schedule it yet. Maybe sometime in the near future.

Glad to hear you both are doing OK. To, bad about the Clinic. But, if you did not try you would never know and would always wonder.

The Cheetah assembly location. Is that the one near Gordon's old shop?

Remember you and Jan are always welcome to any and all our gatherings.

Take care
Mike

Chopper, good to see that you are still lurking. Talk to Ironman about his Lister. What a nice car. Steve did a great job building it. His biggest problem is finding a track that wil let him run since the car is so fast.
