I vote lunch
Going to the Utah Suns game night before. I like lunch too!:) Wifey is down for the count (she flew over the windshied :JEKYLHYDEagain when I started up; hit her head on the garage door). That is what happens when you are in the car too early in the morning and haven't had enough coffee.
then again I may go to the boat.....or dead%/:( |
I drove over to San Manuel today and here is the basic menu / costs. Lunch : costs from $6.00 to $7.50 for a hamburger to BLT. Salads are $7.50. Mexican food goes from $7.50 to $9.00 with a large menu. They will set us up with one long table the same as last year unless you'd prefer two shorter tables.

John
Screw you! I'll be there to tell you in person. Maybe see if Karl will show me the way. |
Dave, Rule number one: do not lose sight of the car in front of you. Rule number two: follow the car in front of you. Rule number three: know where the destination is at. Looking forward to seeing you on the 20 th.
|
Yeah I guess I broke all 3 rules. :(

OK guys, it's time for you to get organized and let me know if you are still planning to come down here next Saturday, the 20th. The weather forecast is for sunny skies and a high temp of 74 degrees. In previous postings you'd talked about sleeping in and coming down for lunch. I need the answers to three questions. 1. Are you guys coming down here ? ( It's actually, up here) 2. What time are you planning to leave the Phoenix area ? 3. What route will you be using ?
|
#1 Yes I will be coming, #2 I have no idea but will leave whenever the rest of the group does because #3 I have no idea where I am going but I will be there.
I am up for breakfast but would prefer lunch. Ron |
1. Yes we are coming down there.
2. We will leave the Chevron station at Idaho Road and US 60 at 10:30 AM. 3. We will use the same route we used last time through Superior, Winkleman, etc. so you southerners can meet us at the same place as last time. Was that the original plan John? If not, then let us know and we can change it.. |
1. Karl and I will be there
2. OK 3 I don't know the fricken route cuz we went the wrong way last year. Karl does tho. |
I am planning on attending.
AZ Bob |
John, are we meeting here and driving to Winkleman?
Larry |
John.
#1. Would love to be there for you. #2. Apologize for not being able to. #3. Reason I can't be is I have a race event at Firebird on Sat. Sorry!!!! Lonestar #024 |
Plan is set in stone...
Email sent out. Mike |
The Tucson Cobras will meet you in Winkleman. I have a "special" route that some of you might like to try, it's six miles of turns and speed. This route takes about 15 minutes longer. Those of you whose wife's / friends aren't into a roadcourse might like to take the usual route to San Manuel. I'll keep you informed.
|
What the "F' is the normal route?????????
No wife involved but a guy who cooks bacon nekid. |
Dave, I think that the Phoenix guys really need to keep an eye on you. The normal route is south on route #77 to the turn-off for San Manuel and then south to the golf course. The extra fun route is a few miles further into Oracle and then a side road back to San Manuel.
|
Don't worry Dave. Anyone who cooks bacon nekkid (OUCH!) is tough enough for a road course..
|
Splatter, Splatter, Splatter. Let me tell you...I B Dancin!
|
Lorraine and I will join but may not be able to hang around for beer's. We have NCAA tickets for the regional in Tempe Sat. evening/night.
|
It is set. We will meet you guys at the gas station in Winkleman at 11:30 am. For those of you who are not interested in a spirited drive please plan to turn off of route #77 at the San Manuel exit and go directly to the golf course. This will actually help becuase it will allow the restaurant to do your order taking and serve drinks before the others get there. BRING sun block !!! WEAR a long sleved shirt ! USE a cap/hat ! Any questions ? I can also be reached at 520-825-9197.
