San Manuel for breakfast, 3-20-10.

Everyone is invited to breakfast at the San Manuel Golf Course on Saturday, March 20th. I'd like to do the same thing as last year where the Tucson Cobras drove north to Winkelman and join you guys and convoy down to the restaurant. After breakfast we can go to the Oracle Inn for desert or to the Cadallic Chaparral for a beer.

mikiec 02-07-2010 11:54 AM

Works for me.

Danr55 02-07-2010 12:41 PM

I'm in John.. Can I bring Murphy?

mikiec 02-07-2010 02:03 PM

John,

Would this be the annual challenge run?

Mike

John-Tucson 02-07-2010 02:13 PM

No Mikiec, it would be unfair since you guys never arrive with the same number of cars that you leave Phoenix with. I can coordinate with the local tow truck drivers along the way and let them know what route you will be taking. I'm thinking of a Challenge route west of I-10 close to Phoenix.

mikiec 02-08-2010 03:37 PM

You can bring Murphy, as long as he doesn't crap in someones yard.

John
What date do you have picked out?

Mike

Danr55 02-08-2010 03:38 PM

He's a she and she doesn't crap in anyone's yard she doesn't know.

John-Tucson 02-08-2010 03:51 PM

You jar-heads are all the same. " San Manuel for Breakfast 3-20-10". "...Saturday, March 20th". This is really going to the dogs early.

Danr55 02-08-2010 05:34 PM

You should be so lucky, John..

Mikie, who's he callin' a jarhead?

mikiec 02-08-2010 05:57 PM

Figures. Damned Irishmen never could tell a Yorkshire terrier from a Marine.

John-Tucson 02-08-2010 06:14 PM

Do Marines poop in front yards too ?

Danr55 02-08-2010 07:10 PM

You'll have to ask one John.

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 02-09-2010 06:35 AM

Hey, John. Good choice of dates as of right now. I am off that weekend.

I checked with the San Manuel Golf Course today and we are still on for Saturday, March 20th. That is a week from now. The weather forcasters don't have that long a forecast so I don't know about what the morning temps might be. Can you guys be down here about 10:00 am ? Or would you prefer a bit earlier ? We'll plan to meet you guys in Winkleman. I have found a short but decent road into San Manuel that was not there last year, we'll give it a try before breakfast. I have told the restaurant to expect about 40 people and set the table up in one long line.

Danr55 03-05-2010 07:25 AM

John, today is Friday March 5. Saturday March 20 is 15 days away. Quit drinking your antifreeze!

mikiec 03-05-2010 08:05 AM

Is the 10am the meeting time for Winkleman?

Danr55 03-05-2010 09:00 AM

Mikie, he's talking breakfast in San Manuel. We'd need to leave our favorite Chevron Station around 8 to get to San Manuel for breakfast. Should we suggest that we make it a lunch run?

mikiec 03-05-2010 10:16 AM

Either way works for me. I just hate getting up early on a weekend.

Mike

John-Tucson 03-05-2010 11:08 AM

Danr55, I am guilty ! Some of Mikiec's stuff is rubbing off on me. Mikiec, those were my thoughts also. I enjoy sleeping in at least one day a week. The 10:00 am time is in San Manuel. It's about 25 minutes from Winkleman to San Manuel. I'll drive it and make sure. If you come down the way Dave did last year it's 1:45 from Idaho & #60. If you would like to make it later, lunch, I can look over their lunch menu and we'll go from there.
