#1. Would love to be there for you.
#2. Apologize for not being able to.
#3. Reason I can't be is I have a race event at Firebird on Sat.

Sorry!!!!

Lonestar #024

What is the event? I talked to Firebird and they said it was a Corvette rally. If so how can I participate, and what is needed?

This sucks!! I have to sit out on this one :( I am doing the body work on the car and my friend/bodywork guy told recomment me not to drive it, cuz the bondo will suck up any grease/oil/etc. Hoping to finish it today, so we can prime it this weekend, then I can drive it. :)

I will see everyone at the Chevron at 1030

Mike Brasfield 03-19-2010 08:14 PM

If you arrive at 10:30 you might just see our exhaust. ETD 10:30.

csx4910 03-19-2010 08:20 PM

Estimated distance from AJ to San Manuel? Is there a fuel stop once we get there? I dont have a working fuel gauge right now so I am guestimating about 150 miles before needing a fill up

John-Tucson 03-19-2010 08:37 PM

csx4910, there is a gas station in Winkleman., That is where the Tucson guys will meet the Phoenix guys. Also, in Oracle there are some gas stations and in Florence on your way back. Gas is not the problem, keep an eye on Mikiec and Dave to make sure that they are going in the correct direction ( heaven only knows how Mikiec has programed his NEW GPS.) AND, Dave has Karl with him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

csx4910 03-19-2010 09:37 PM

Just in case, what is the route from AJ to Winkelman? (Not that I dont trust our leader Mikiec but its the new GPS I may not trust)
thx
Ron

CXS4910, See Danr55's posting in the #2 posting area. Ron, please follow Dave. I promise you that he will not get lost (?) this year. As a last resort I suggest that you GOOGLE, golf course, San Manuel, AZ.

Carl, Tom doesn't often get on this site like some of us. He has a Mustang race car that he uses for road race events and only occasionally takes his Lonestar to the dragstrip. I know tomorrow it will be the Mustang.
Send me an e-mail and I can give you his phone number if you do it before 8 am Saturday: Lumpee33@aol.com

Thanks John
I am looking forward to meeting you all from the south. How many do you all have coming?
Ron

Danr55 03-20-2010 05:38 AM

Ron, If they could ever figure out how many they had coming, Mikie would be buying ice cream instead of John always getting stuck! Good morning John...:rolleyes:

mikiec 03-20-2010 10:50 AM

As you know by now, I'm not there. To much to do today as I have a wedding to go to on Sunday. I hope all had a good time.

Mike

Danr55 03-20-2010 05:39 PM

We had a great time Mikie. No one got lost.. not even Dave and Karl.. Found a neat road to run from Oracle Junction back to I -10. Oh, one more thing. Tucson had more cars than we did so John says you owe everyone a beer.. at a pub of thier choice. **):cool:

csx4910 03-20-2010 07:31 PM

Good Times. Thanks John for setting it up. It was good to meet some of you from down south.
Ron

It was a fluke or David Copperfield was involved. No beers until they win 8 years in a row. :):)

Congras Tucson gang.
