Ron,

These motors have so much torque the side pipes were starting to touch the body. The stiffer mounts will prevent that and not wear like the rubber ones over time that will loosen up. They are on the car and it will be at Hot Rods by Dean till about mid week. Check them out if you can get by. I have wanted to do them for a while now and finally did. They are an improvement.

I am looking forward to using some of that torque and doing my best to wear them out! I will keep that in mind and add to the potential upgrade list
Thanks

SandyC,

Charlie told me that. Mine was just smoking when you got on it. I did not have that amount of oil in the pipe. You definitely have something going on.

Default Side Pipe Bracket

When I took the car to B&R for a standard nut bolt and oil change they noticed the bracket was cracked again. Between the blue and Red cobra I must have cracked the thing holding the side pipes 6-8 times. They made me a bracket that lets the side pipe move around a bit depending on hot cold. You need to have that or they will crack. Mine has not cracked in two years.

I have had very little stuff happen to this red car. When I even think about something may be needed I just change it out. Not worth messing with these cars on a hot day out on some road where there is no one to help. I changed my battery too. Several people said the batteries were still good. Forget it. I have thoughts of Mikey on his back putting a new one in.

Probably about time to go through the whole engine. Hate to touch it because it has been so strong!

Fitz, be nice. That's a very ugly picture with Don standing there giving directions..
