Karl
Is the damn Copper Queen ready YET???????????
Mike |
Nope. Working on it but nothing just bolts together. Lots of fabricating. The car will be much better than it was and hopefully even go straight. Made some nifty changes to the suspension and chassis that will reinforce it all. Don't mind pulling front wheels off the ground, but would much rather it be both of them, rather than just the left. Hoping for this summer. Mesa Dave and Mike B. have been coming over pretty often and definitely helping out.

Copper refers to the color of Karls car. Queen refers to well you can guess. |
Karl....post one of your photo's so everyone can see your progress.
|
Or lack thereof... :):)
I'm looking forward to seeing it back on the road. Do we need to have a finish building this car party? Mike |
Mike, you know me. I'm always up for a party. I just not sure I'll live long enough to make this one. Not sure you younger folks will either.
|
Hey Dan,
I hear you were at Tortilla flats this past weekend. Crap, I'm now old enough to collect SS. Mike |

Never seen me a copper Cobra befo', pics would be nice. I am having difficulties with the Queen, is that the "Queen" as in sorry your higness, its real, or "Queen" as in he likes to go "drag" racing, or "Queen" being a spectacular garaged Cobra, rarely driven, polished frequently, and often lamented as having something wrong with it when tasked to bring it out for a run? Sorry, cound not resist, its bin a while since I visited the forum. tin-man |
It's a QUEEN because... Well never mind.

What he said
|
Hell, even if it would be a "Trailer Queen," at least we'd know that Karl really still has her! :p
Ralph :MECOOL: |
Hey Tinner, copper was the color. Actually '03 Cadillac Copper Sunburst was the name GM put on it. They used it on the '03 CTS and I took a chance that it would look good. It did, until I took a little detour out through the desert 02/19/09. I need to quit screwing around with all the improvements that keep coming to mind, and just get the darn thing back on the road. Definitely not a trailer queen or garage queen. I'm not a waxer and I prefer driving the snot out of my car. Stone chips be dammmmed! Don't know where the queen thing came from. Much more of a copperhead, but then, those that would see nothing but by tail lights have to say something. yepers.

So Karl tell me, how many of the folks in the Arizona club have you let see your tailights? I'm thinking that's a mighty bold statement to make after I have seen all the testosterone laced talk around this site about speed and it sounds like you're setting up a challenge, that's of course when you have finished the "Copperhead Beast". Can we see pictures? tin-man:LOL: |
I liked it better Black.
Mike |
Mikie, a black car is my favorite but such a bitttttch to keep looking good. I notice that every time I see a car in a parking lot, that really gets my attention, its black. I actually have been toying with going with a satin black, sorta like primer, but nicer. Kinda industrial or rat-rodish, but doubt that I'd go that route. Tinner, from what I've heard or read, there's been only one other Cobra, here in AZ, that has been able to come anywhere near the 10.74 I ran and that was Greg with his KILLER Roush 427 SPF. He always goes in the 10's with a soft launch and hits over 130MPH, which is 10.0 territory with a hard launch.
